Trio of senior hires for the new Courtyard by Marriott Keele Staffordshire ahead of opening
Ahead of the grand opening in February 2021, Tower Hotel Management has appointed three members of the senior management team at the new Courtyard by Marriott Keele Staffordshire.
Following the announcement of the General Manager in the summer, Scott Randall, he will head up the team including Head Chef, David Savage, Operations Manager, Ryan Clackstone and Front of House Manager, Lauren O’Connor.
Joining from the Holiday Inn Derby Nottingham, David Savage brings 25 years of culinary experience with him amassed in branded hotels, award winning Gastropub and one-star and two-star Michelin restaurants. David will be responsible for managing the kitchen.
Ryan Clackstone, who is making the move from the London Marriott Hotel, is truly dedicated to the hospitality industry having studied Hospitality Business Management at Sheffield Hallam University. Now with over eight years’ experience in front of house roles, Ryan will manage the day to day running of the hotel.
Speaking on his appointment, Ryan said: “To join a new hotel with new team is certainly an exciting prospect and I’m looking forward to the challenge. I look forward to working alongside the management team in the coming months as we lead up to the official opening in February.”
To complete the trio, Lauren O’Connor joins as Front of House Manager from Wychwood Park Hotel & Golf Club. Also with eight years’ hospitality experience, Lauren will join the team alongside David and Ryan in January 2021.
Developed by Keele Hotel Developments, a joint venture between Marick Real Estate Ltd and Mill Lane Estates Ltd, the high-profile site will be operated by Tower Hotel Management under a franchise agreement with Marriott International. The hotel has been built by one of the largest and most successful privately owned construction and development groups in the UK, Bowmer + Kirkland.
